Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the active N-terminal portion of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It has been researched for its ability to interact with GHRH receptors and stimulate the pituitary's endogenous growth hormone release.
Unlike exogenous growth hormone, Sermorelin works through the GHRH pathway, making it a useful research compound for studying growth hormone regulation, pituitary signalling and related endocrine processes.
Sermorelin has a history of human clinical research and was previously marketed in the United States as Geref. It does not currently hold a UK medicines licence, and the SerenQ product is supplied as a research material rather than as an approved medicinal product.
