SerenQ Retatrutide is a pre-filled research pen containing retatrutide, an investigational peptide designed to activate three metabolic hormone receptors: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors.

This triple-receptor activity is what distinguishes retatrutide from earlier compounds in the same research area. GLP-1 and GIP signalling are closely involved in glucose regulation, insulin response and appetite signalling, while glucagon receptor activity adds another pathway linked with energy use and metabolism.

Retatrutide is a long-acting peptide engineered to remain in circulation for longer than naturally occurring metabolic hormones. Current clinical research is investigating its effects across body weight, glucose control, metabolic health and obesity-related complications. Retatrutide remains in Phase 3 clinical development and has not been approved as a medicine.
