PT-141 is a synthetic melanocortin peptide that has been researched for its interaction with melanocortin receptors, particularly MC3R and MC4R. It has been studied in relation to sexual function and central nervous system signalling.
Bremelanotide has been investigated in human clinical studies and is approved in the United States for a specific indication under the brand name Vyleesi. This approval does not apply to the SerenQ research product, which is not the licensed medicinal product and is not a UK-licensed medicine.
