SerenQ MOTS-c 40 mg contains MOTS-c, a 16-amino-acid peptide produced from genetic information found within the mitochondria rather than the cell nucleus. This makes it unusual among research peptides and has made it a focus of studies looking at how mitochondria communicate with the rest of the cell.
MOTS-c is mainly studied in relation to metabolism and cellular energy regulation. Research has explored its effects on pathways including AMPK, glucose handling, insulin sensitivity and metabolic flexibility, as well as how cells respond to changes in energy demand.
