GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide and a growth hormone-releasing peptide that acts primarily through the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a. It has been studied for its effects on growth hormone secretion and related endocrine signalling.
Unlike GHRH analogues such as sermorelin and tesamorelin, GHRP-2 works through the ghrelin receptor pathway. Research has also examined its interactions with other pituitary hormones and its broader physiological effects.
Human research has established that GHRP-2 can influence growth hormone release, although long-term outcome data remain limited. GHRP-2 is not a licensed medicinal product in the UK.
